Entrusted by the Larga Baffin Ltd. Board of Directors, we are here to provide medical boarding home services to our clients who travel from Qikiqtani region of Nunavut for medical services not available to them in their communities of Nunavut.
Our Clients travel thousands of miles to seek medical services in unfamiliar big city that maybe a culture shock for many coming from communities where there could be less than 500 people in a community.
Our goal is to provide a home like atmosphere in a cultural setting familiar to them, all the while providing transportation and Kitchen services to meet their dietary needs including providing country food whenever possible all the while during the most difficult times of their health care journey’s.
“When you are at Larga it feels like home, it’s a community sense of feeling welcomed. Food is good. I have been very happy with the transportation to appointments and even food deliveries to the hospitals. Thank you and I am happy with the services offered.”
Rhoda Innukshuk“I would like to thank Larga Baffin for their work, some areas of concern on arrivals with Inuktitut signage but after speaking to staff I have a better understanding of its services. Glad to hear of the proper food labelling as well for those that bring country food. Also, happy that there are some Inuktitut speaking staff.”
Liemikie Palluq, Clyde River“Friendly service, friendly staff, prompt, very helpful, considerate staff! I was there just for an evening but the meals were so good and lots of choices to pick from. Nice and clean. Overall good experience”
Joanna Qammaniq“Friendly staff clean rooms and delicious assortment of food at meal and snack times.
Safety is a priority here, and all the staff are very professional 👏 I feel privileged to escort my husband to his surgery and appreciate all the help we receive. Nakurmik thank you merci 🙏”Lesley Firman“I got to see my grandmother for the first time after 16 years it was an awesome time for me”
